Try Walking in My Shoes

Each year, an ever-increasing number of men, women and their families are joining the award-winning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence.
Socio-political art project “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”, developed into a massive charity movement against sexual and gender-based violence, launched in the U.S. in 2001. The purpose of the movement – the dissemination of information on sexual violence and the involvement of different stakeholders in a discussion of its sources, effects and ways to combat this social evil.
An old proverb says: “To know a person should walk a mile in his shoes.” In cities in the U.S. and Canada regularly arranged marches men against violence against women. Participants are given vivid “boats” on the hairpin, which is required to overcome exactly a mile. This spectacular event gathers a lot of viewers. After the march, held discussion on the motion, raising money for charity account and other events.
